Brazil: COVID-19 cases and deaths 2020

The COVID-19 disease was detected in Brazil on February 26, 2020, making it the first Latin American country to report a case of the novel coronavirus. Since then, the number of infections has risen drastically, reaching more than 363 thousand cases by May 25. Meanwhile, the first death due to this disease registered in Brazil was reported on March 18, 2020. A little over two months later, the number of fatal cases surpassed 22.6 thousand.
