Argentina: monthly international air passenger traffic 2019-2020

In April 2020, the international air passenger traffic from and to Argentina amounted to 12 passengers. This represents a decrease of around 99 percent in comparison with the air passenger traffic reported during the same month a year earlier. This abrupt decrease in international passenger air traffic is due to restrictions imposed by the Argentine government to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 in its territory. The travel restrictions for foreign visitors in Argentina started on March 16 2020, three days after the World Health Organization (WHO) declared the COVID-19 outbreak a pandemic.
