Production value of processed foodstuff in Japan 2012-2021
In 2021, the production value of processed food products in Japan amounted to around 22.5 trillion Japanese yen, an increase from about 20 trillion yen in 2012. Processed foodstuffs represent the core business of the Japanese food manufacturing industry, accounting for the largest share of the domestic production value in the last decade.
