The Men's Triple Jump has been included in all Summer Olympic Games since 1896. Athletes from the United States have seen the most success in this event, winning eight golds and 18 total medals. Soviet jumper Viktor Saneyev is the event's most successful athlete, winning three back-to-back golds between 1968 and 1976, and a bronze medal in 1980. No athlete has ever been stripped of a medal won in this event. In 2020, Hugues Fabrice Zango won the first Olympic medal for Burkina Faso with his bronze jump of 17.47 meters.
