Crude birth rate in Africa 2018, by country

Angola and Niger recorded the highest crude birth rates in Africa in 2018. In both countries, 44 births were recorded per 1,000 inhabitants, respectively. Mali and Chad followed in the ranking, whereas Uganda's birth rate equaled to 43 births of every thousand individuals.

As of 2018, half of the population in Angola and Niger was aged under 16 years old. Especially, Niger ranks as the country with the youngest population in Africa and worldwide, with a median age by 15.4 years.
