According to the forecast, the population of Africa would grow by 1.76 percent in 2050 compared to the previous year. The population growth rate in the continent is expected to decline in the coming years, yet the number of inhabitants would continue to increase significantly. By 2050, Africa would reach around 2.5 billion inhabitants, compared to 1.36 billion in 2020.
