Number of e-pharmacy orders Russia 2022

Russian consumers made 142 million orders in online pharmacies in 2022. The number of pharmaceutical goods purchases via the internet has increased steadily in the country since 2018. The highest number of orders were made on the e-commerce platform Apteka.ru, at 38.5 million in 2021.

Russia was the country with the largest share of people who ordered medications online in Europe in 2021, measured at 40 percent. It was followed by other Central and Eastern European (CEE) countries, such as Poland, Czechia, and Ukraine.

According to the source, the segment "includes online stores specializing primarily in the sale of medicines.
