As of May 2020, the average spending during pregnancy and a child's first year of life in Mexico was estimated at more than 65 thousand Mexican pesos. During that period, furniture and house appliances was the category with the highest level of spending, representing more than 23 thousand pesos in expenses. Figures refers to a basic kit consisting of only essential products.
