Barley production in France 1961-2018

After a sharp increase in barley production in France in the 1960s, production subsequently fluctuated between 7 million and 13 million tonnes produced per year until 2018. In 2015, French farmers produced the most barley with more than 13 million tonnes.
Barley is the cereal, which after the soaking and germination process, gives the malt and is essential for the manufacturing of beer.
