The production volume of carbonated soft drinks in Japan reached just below four million kiloliters in 2019. This represents the first annual decline since 2012. Apart from top sellers in the global market such as colas, carbonated non-alcoholic drinks include, among others, sodas, root beers, and the well-known lemonade ramune, which is sealed with a marble.
