Breakdown of cumulative subsidies from Japan Arts Fund FY 2022, by purpose
As of the fiscal year 2022, a cumulative total of around 10.6 billion Japanese yen of the Japan Arts Fund was utilized for the creation and promotion of modern theater in Japan. Since its beginning in 1990, a cumulative total of approximately 48.97 billion yen of subsidies was provided for cultural causes from the fund. The fund is managed by the Japan Arts Council and mainly founded on the grant of the government and donation of private groups.
