Attitude towards buying residential property in the United Kingdom 2016-2020

According to a survey conducted among 2,000 adults in the United Kingdom (UK), as of September 2020, people are generally positive about the prospects of buying a residential property. Asked whether they think now is the time to buy, approximately 37 percent of respondents said they agree, while almost half said they disagree. The coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis, the lockdown period that started in March 2020, and the gradual easing of measures afterwards played a substantial role in people's confidence in the market.
