Netherlands: companies with shared bike fleet 2020

Dutch employers operating in the healthcare sector were the most likely to offer a (shared) bicycle plan to their employees in 2020. Of all the companies in the Netherlands that operated a vehicle fleet of at least five vehicles, only 12 percent had implemented a shared bicycle system into their mobility strategy. The bicycle plan is a government-sponsored concept in which employers and employees receive financial compensation for bicycle use, in order to promote non-car mobility. Bicycle plans can take on several forms. Some employers own and operate bicycles which they lend out to employees for their daily commute, while other companies subsidize their employees' bicycle purchases.
