Mexico: types of content read by young people 2019, by location
During a 2019 survey in Mexico, 67 percent of people aged 12 to 29 from rural areas stated they read news and 56 percent said they read articles and/or blogs. Among respondents from rural areas, 62 percent read news and 58 percent read articles and/or blogs. On average, 70 percent of the age group 12 to 29 enjoyed reading in 2019.
