Production of olives in Tunisia 2016-2021
In 2021, the production of olives in Tunisia was forecast at 700 thousand metric tons. Olive production in the country decreased substantially compared to the previous year, when it peaked at two million metric tons. Olives and olive oil constitute a significant portion of the agricultural production and exports of Tunisia. As of 2020, the majority of agricultural areas in the country (nearly 1.9 million hectares) were planted with olive trees.
