Demand for diversity in U.S. cable TV series 2019

Demand for diverse debut cable TV shows increased by 117 percent from 2017 to 2019. Looking at the top 25 in-demand cable debuts, it was found that by 2019 there was equal popularity between diverse and non-diverse scripts. The average demand is shown as an index to the annual average; this means in 2017 diverse shows were six times more in-demand than the average.
