In November 2020, roughly 40 percent of respondents to a survey regarding the effect of mandatory face masks (due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic on the spending mood in Germany stated that lifting the rule for wearing a mask inside stores would increase their desire to buy something. 21 percent stated they would buy more products.
