Average rental prices in the Spanish housing market 2006-2021
The average price per square meter of residential rental property in Spain showed a downward trend between 2006 and 2014, falling from 9.3 to a minimum of 7.3 euros per square meter during that period. It was not until 2017 when the level price recovered to the figures of before the financial crisis and the bursting of the real state bubble. From then onwards, rental property prices soared and reached their highest point in 2020 with 11.4 euros per square meter.
