The sanitary measures required by the government concerning businesses during the deconfinement period seem to have substantially affected businesses in France. Indeed, an analysis of the attendance at the points of sale at the national and local levels indicates that the summer sales were marked by a significant drop in attendance. Not surprisingly, Île-de-France recorded the largest decline in France, at -47.1 percent, followed by Hauts-de-France (-41.1 percent), Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes (-33.8 percent) and Centre-Val de Loire (-33.7 percent).
