For a couple of years now, big French generalist retailers such as E.Leclerc, Auchan or Carrefour have invested in the development of their online catalogue to increase their online and offline sales. The Drive applications or websites give the consumers the possibility to order their groceries online and to pick them up at a car collection point. Thus, in France in 2019, the source has provided the ranking of the most performing generalist retailers in terms of Drive sales: E.Leclerc Drive was by far the most efficient one, with more than three billion euros in revenue in 2019, followed by Carrefour Drive with about 800 millions.
