YoY change of cosmetics sales amid the COVID-19 pandemic South Korea 2020

Impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, sales of lipstick and foundation decreased by 21 percent and 18 percent each as of March 2020 compared to the same period in the previous year. While color makeup products saw a big sales decrease, overall sales of skincare products experienced a growth. Especially, face moisturizing products such as essence, serum, and oil were purchased 126 percent more than a year ago.
