Mobile banking has increased in popularity in recent years, with more and more bank customers using mobile banking as their primary method to access their bank accounts. In the United States, the share of banked households using mobile banking as their primary access method reached 35 percent in 2019. Mobile banking appeared to be more widespread among urban households (39.3 percent) compared to households living in rural ares (24.3 percent).
