Satisfaction with their current bank institution was the main reason for Americans not to use a digital-only bank, according to a survey conducted in 2020 in the United States. The results of the survey showed that across all generations the vast majority of respondents mentioned being happy with their bank as the main reason not to open an account with a digital-only provider. Also, approximately one in five respondents said that they do not trust digital-only banking.
