Solastalgia is a form of psychological or existential suffering and distress caused for example by past, present, and expected environmental changes, in particular concerning global warming and biodiversity. Although the concept does not have unanimous support, concerns related to the environmental situation are no less real. Indeed, when questioned about the issue, nearly three-quarters of survey respondents in Canada replied that they were worried about climate change. Only six percent of respondents were not concerned at all.
