Weekly app activities worldwide by platform 2020

According to a survey of global smartphone users carried out in November and December 2020, iOS users appear to be slightly more active on their smartphone apps. Roughly 81 percent of respondents on iOS used apps to watch video clips, TV, or films. In comparison, the share of respondents on Android using apps to watch video content was 78 percent. Using mobile gaming apps also appeared to be popular with users of both operative systems, while less than five smartphone users in 10 booked food deliveries weekly.
