Online purchasing locations for e-books worldwide 2020

In 2020, the commonly used online shopping location for buying e-books was Amazon, with almost 70 percent of respondents in the United States reporting that they bought e-books there. Meanwhile, consumers in Germany were most likely to use online bookstores, and the Apple eBooks Store and iTunes were used by 18 percent of U.S. survey participants. By contrast, less than 15 percent of respondents from all countries in the study bought e-books directly from the publisher's website.
