Power sector carbon intensity in Denmark 2000-2022
Since the beginning of the century, Denmark's power sector carbon intensity has experienced an overall decreasing trend. In 2022, the country's power sector emissions surpassed 180 grams of carbon dioxide per kilowatt-hour (gCO₂/KWh) of electricity generated. This figure represented a decline of more than 70 percent in comparison to 2003, when the carbon intensity of the power sector in Denmark peaked at 612 gCO₂/KWh.
