Electric power industry CO2 emissions in the United States 2021, by select state

The electric power industry in Texas emitted 206 million metric tons of carbon dioxide (MtCO₂) in 2021. This was far higher than the electric power industry emissions released in any other U.S. State that year. The second-largest U.S. power sector emitter in 2021 was Florida, with 96 MtCO₂.
