Japan: breakdown of new fixed rate home loans by set term

In the fiscal year 2021, 47.3 percent of new fixed rate housing loans issued by private financial institutions in Japan had a fixed rate period of 10 years. Fixed-rate loans for a set term of three years accounted for 29.3 percent of new home loans granted.
