India: share of tech patents filed in U.S. by application area 2021

Between 2015 and 2021, out of more than six thousand technological patents filed in U.S. by Indian companies, patents for software applications has the highest share among all the categories with 12.8 percent share. It was followed by patents in healthcare and medical devices with around nine percent share.
