Factors affecting the use of credit cards in Japan 2022
According to a survey conducted in Japan between July 2021 and February 2022, the most common occasion to use a credit card was for expensive purchases at a store, as answered by more than 85 percent of respondents. The second most common occasion, with more than 84 percent, was for purchases online. Only a small minority of around 1.5 percent of respondents stated that they do not use their credit cards at all.
