Average office real estate fit-out cost in Europe 2021-2023, by city
The square meter cost of an office fit-out in different European cities ranged between 700 euros and 2,500 euros per square meter in 2023. Fitting out an office space was most expensive in London, England, where it cost almost 2,500 euros per square meter. In other markets, such as Sofia, and Istanbul, the cost was under 1,000 euros per square meter. A complete office fit-out includes the transformation of an empty space into a suitable office environment, including the necessary structures, electrical furnishings, mechanical equipment, and furniture. Out of the total cost, office furniture constituted about 18 percent.
