Vacancy rates of offices in London 2021-2022
Despite London opening up after the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, vacancy rates in London's office market increased in some areas. In London City, which is one of the most important and expensive office markets in the United Kingdom and Europe, saw the share of unoccupied office space rise slightly from 10.3 percent to 10.8 percent between the second quarter of 2021 and the second quarter of 2022. In Southbank, the increase was more dramatic, with the vacancy rate rising from 3.7 percent to eight percent during this period.
