In-cinema advertising by brands before and after pandemic India 2019-2022
The number of brands advertising in Indian cinemas was significantly higher in the second half of 2022 as compared to the same period in 2019, with September seeing as many as 430 brands invested in cinema advertising. This reflected an 18 percent increase on average from pre-pandemic levels. The brands invested in cinema advertising in 2022 primarily belonged to categories such as food and beverage, consumer durables, clothing, beauty, and BFSI.
