In 2021, 59 percent of truck drivers in Europe were between 25 and 55 years old. The age group containing citizens aged above 50 years constituted 34 percent of truck drivers in Europe, whereas the youngest age group, below 25 year old, constituted seven percent of the total truck-driver population.

The 2021 results were collected between October 2021 and January 2022, and 1,524 companies from 25 countries within and outside Europe (including both passenger and goods transport companies) answered.
