Snow sports in the United Kingdom (UK) have been on a slight decline to some extent. The number of monthly participants in snow sports in England has decreased from 186,500 in 2008 to 142,400 in 2016. As the numbers fell, the share of snow sport participants who received tuition in England grew from 21.8 percent in 2012 to 36 percent in 2016.

British Ski and Snowboard is the national governing body for Olympic skiing and snowboarding in the UK. A total of roughly 4.9 million British pounds worth of public funding for Olympic ski and snowboard went towards the Winter Olympic Games 2018 in PyeongChang. Olympic figure skating has received 1.6 million British pounds of public funding, Olympic curling 5.4 million British pounds and Olympic bobsleigh 4.5 million British pounds.

The sales of skis and snowboards in Great Britain have decreased, as well as the sales performance of snow sports retailers in terms of outerwear and baselayers. The majority of people who go on snow sport holidays in the UK are over the age of 40 and only 15 percent are younger. Around half of snow sport vacationers buy snow sports equipment in a store in the UK and the rest in holiday resorts or online.
