One of the main advantages of cultivated meat compared to conventional meat is its comparatively low theoretical environmental impact. A 2023 life cycle assessment (LCA) study revealed that by 2030, cultivated meat will be significantly less harmful to our surroundings than regular chicken, pork, or beef. For instance, the production of cultivated meat will have a 92 percent lower carbon footprint than cattle farming.
