From a 2018 survey conducted among plant-based meat consumers in China, it emerged that the majority (46.9 percent) was aged between 18 and 35 years. People aged 18 years and younger made up 25.7 percent of the total. By contrast, only 10.1 percent of the Chinese consuming plant-based meat alternatives were 50 years and older.
