Streaming viewers in the European countries UK, France, Italy, Spain, and Germany preferred ad-supported content over ad-free plans, with half of respondents to an early-2023 survey stating to watch TV shows and movies on ad-based services. Moreover, nearly one in three people interviewed consumed a mix of ad-supported and ad-free content.
