As of September 2023, Manchester Evening News was the leading regional news brand in the United Kingdom when it comes to digital audience. That month, the paper had an audience of 10.99 million users, although this was down 28 percent year over year. Birmingham Live, second in the ranking, reached an audience of 10.3 million, while Liverpool Echo came in third with under eight million users. Papers in Bristol, London, and Devon trailed behind with between two and four million users, and 12 brands in the ranking had an audience under of under two million.
