Number of short videos found to be fake India 2023
A majority of mobile, tablet, and laptop users surveyed in India, that is 37 percent, claimed that they rarely watched short videos that were later found to be fake. Meanwhile, over 20 percent of the respondents reported that up to half the videos they watched turned out to be fake. The circulation of misinformation in India has been a growing concern in recent years.
