Of a total revenue of 191 billion Indian rupees, the revenue from the film industry came primarily from domestic theatrical releases and screenings. Overseas screenings ranked second that year. Digital/OTT rights earned 19 billion rupees that year. This distribution would most probably be affected the following year due to the impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Theatres were likely to take a hit, while digital platforms would seemingly profit from the circumstance.
