Voting intentions in Italy 2022-2024
After the 2022 elections, Brothers of Italy (FdI) further increased its consensus, reaching more than 30 percent of the preferences at the beginning of 2023. Since then, however, the share of electors declaring to support the party slightly but constantly decreased, as mirrored by the negative opinion that Italians have of Giorgia Meloni's government, FdI's leader. The party's consensus settled to the 2022 level two months before the European elections. The two main opposition parties, the Democratic Party (PD) and the Five-Star Movement (M5S), could not reach FdI's popular support, as they have oscillated between 15 and 20 percent of the votes. Forza Italia and the League constitute FdI's coalition partners, and their share of consensus was around eight percent.
