Retail value of digital album sales in the United States 2004-2022
In 2022, the value of digital music albums downloaded in the U.S. was 241.9 million U.S. dollars, down from 303.3 billion a year earlier. The year 2011 to 2015 saw the figure reach and remain above one billion U.S. dollars, but annual decreases of around 150 to 200 million per year for the last few years have seen the value drop back down to a similar level as in 2006.
