In 2022, Jurassic World: Dominion was the leading foreign film in China, raking in 1.06 billion yuan of box office revenue. This is just a fraction compared to the box office record made by Avengers: End Game (4.3 billion yuan) in the Chinese cinema market in 2019, partly affected by the impact from the coronavirus lockdown restrictions and the intense competition from other local movies.
