Box office revenue in Guatemala 2015-2021
In 2021, Guatemala reported a box office gross of 11.8 million U.S. dollars, up from 4.1 million dollars a year earlier – an increase of about 188 percent. Despite the annual growth, the 2021 figure amounted to little more than one-third of the 34.1-million-dollar revenue seen in 2019, before the pandemic. Also in 2021, Guatemala had the third-highest box office gross in Central America.
