Monthly non-food store retail sales value index in Great Britain 2016-2024
This statistic shows the amount spent (sales value) in predominantly non-food stores monthly in Great Britain from January 2016 to February 2024, as an index of sales per week. Starting from March 2020, retail sales in predominantly non-food businesses in the UK took a hard hit due to the impact of the coronavirus crisis. However, sales value increased rapidly between May and October 2020. Between December 2020 and January 2021, sales values again decreased but started to increase from February 2021 onwards. Most recently, sales value stood at an index point of 112.9 in February 2024.
