Monthly retail sales value index in Great Britain 2015-2022
This statistic shows the monthly sales value trend (amount spent) across all retailing sectors in Great Britain from January 2015 to November 2022. The figures are seasonally adjusted estimates, measured using the Retail Sales Index (RSI) and published in index form with a reference year of 2019 equal to 100. Aside from some fluctuation, the value of retail sales has generally risen over this period of time, except in the first half of 2020 when the coronavirus outbreak first hit, and again towards the beginning of 2021. As of November 2022, retail sales value index stood at 114.7 points.
