Leading brands of bottled lager in the United Kingdom (UK) 2015, by number of users This statistic shows a ranking of the most used brands of bottled lager in the United Kingdom (UK) in 2015. In 2015, an estimated 3.1 million people used Budweiser bottled lager. Ranked second and third were Stella Artois with 2.1 million and Becks with 2 million users. Lager in the United Kingdom is a multi-billion dollar product. The value of standard, premium and no/low alcohol lager reached 8.3 billion British pounds in 2016, with premium lager accounting for 42 percent of the overall amount. In 2015, households in the United Kingdom spent an average of 50 pence per person per week on lager and continental beers, and 22 pence per person per week on 22 pence per person per week on beer. Total household expenditure on alcohol reached an average of 650 pence per person per week in 2015.

By income group, the households in the highest ten percent of income earners also have the highest average weekly expenditure on beer and lager. In 2016, households in the highest ten percent of income earners spent an average of 3.7 British pounds on beer, lager, ciders and perry in the United Kingdom, compared with an average of two British pounds across all households.
