In 2022, the largest merger and acquisition (M&A) deal in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) was the acquisition of a 100 percent stake of PGNiG in Poland by PKN Orlen. This transaction amounted to 7.9 billion euros. The second-largest deal, amounting to 1.8 billion euros, was the acquisition of the Immofinanz Group by the CPI Property Group.
